II. Envied but Persistent.
1. Fruitfulness. v.12.
2. Waxed great........very great. v.13.
3. The wells stopped. v.15. (Broken Covenant, don't trust
the world)
4. Go from us. v.16. God uses many things to get us back on
tract, He even used a donkey.
5. Pitched in the valley. v.17. Security in failure and sin.
Note. God gave water but He also gave strife. (To get Isaac back)
Essek = Contention - Reflection in the eyes.
- Look of fierceness
Sitnah = Opposition - Attacking making a loud noise.
Rehoboth = Roominess - Wide spaces but a spiritual
straitjacket.
- Living on the border.
Beersheba = The well of the Oath.
III. Hated but blessed
1. Beersheba v.23.
2. The Lord Appeared. v.24. Isaac had been digging wells
now He finds living water.
3. Built an altar = Sacrifice - redemption.
Called = Prayer - communion
Pitched his tent = Abiding - dwelling in God's
presence.
Digged a well = Satisfaction - living water
God is speaking again. Home at last.
